Who Am I?
And what am I about?
Let us go for the facts first…
- I’m in my 40s, living in West Devon, right on the moors -where nature is a huge part of my life. I’ve run my book business since 2014!
- I am neurodivergent, I have a neurodivergent family – for this reason two of my three children are home educated. Endless piles of books come in VERY handy here!
- I am visually impaired – I have a degenerative condition and so I work my business solely online. A visually impaired bookseller may sound a little unique – but I understand the magic of words, the power of stories. They are of massive importance in my life and so a book business always made perfect sense to me!

Now I’ll fill that out a little.
I built this business simply as a way to be at home with my children. My husband, Andy, and I had been working opposite shifts to manage childcare, and I wanted a way to bring in an income without sacrificing precious time together. What started as a practical decision quickly became something much bigger.
As my sight changed and I became more open and understanding of my neurodivergence, I realised that this wasn’t a business that just worked around my life – it was a business that worked for my life. It gave me the flexibility to home educate, to adapt my work to my strengths, and to build something in a way that felt right for me. And now, I help others do the same.
Because I believe, absolutely, that opportunities should exist for everyone.
Too often, I see intelligent, driven, creative people—especially women—who feel limited by their circumstances. They need to home educate, work around school runs, manage fluctuating energy levels, or choose a work environment that actually works for them. That shouldn’t mean opportunities are hard to come by.
I believe that real success comes when you have the freedom to choose how, when, and where you work.
Choice is what drives me.
I don’t hold a magic key, and I don’t offer a get-rich-quick scheme.
But I can offer an opportunity to build and grow your income, with support, training, and a community that lets you work your way.
And at the heart of it all?
Books
I don’t believe every child will—or should—be an avid reader.
But I do believe every child can find books that spark their curiosity.
Whether it’s stories, activity books, fascinating facts, or books that help parents, caregivers, or teachers feel equipped to support learning, the right book can open doors.
My goal is to help children feel excited, not pressured, when it comes to reading. Because while not every child will love books, I do want every child to have the words to express themselves, to advocate for what they need, and to share their own stories.Finding a way to access these words is what I’m passionate about.
This is who I am. If this resonates with you—whether you’re looking for books, opportunities, or just a space to explore what’s possible—I’d love to hear from you.
